Matthew 25:35 and 39b ~ "For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me....Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these, you did it to me."

Our Mission
Grace Ministries is committed to transforming lives in the remote villages of Kumi, Uganda by investing in the next generation through education, faith, and sustainability.
Our mission began with a focus on empowering teenage girls by providing tuition assistance, school supplies, and spiritual support. Today, that mission continues to grow. We are now developing programs that also uplift teen boys—recognizing that communities flourish when all young people are given the chance to learn, lead, and live in hope.
We proudly support the RuthParent Elementary School, where children are not only taught academic subjects but are grounded in the truth of God’s Word. As Romans 10:17 reminds us, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
But our impact doesn’t stop at the classroom. We are also addressing essential needs like clean water access, food storage, and agricultural sustainability—because a child’s faith and future are built on both spiritual nourishment and physical well-being.
At Grace Ministries, we believe it is better to build up a child today than to repair a broken adult tomorrow. Our calling is to equip young hearts and minds with the knowledge, tools, and faith they need to thrive—for their good, and for the glory of His name.

Our Vision
We are committed to nurturing and empowering the children in our care. Currently, 70 students are enrolled in our elementary school, and we prayerfully aim to serve over 400 children in the near future.
To achieve this, we are actively seeking sustainable income-generating opportunities—a challenge that remains significant.
In light of the shifting landscape around the world, our call for sustainability has become even more urgent. We are seeking resources and partnerships that will ensure the continuity of our mission—to stand by these children and build a future filled with hope.
Expanding our chicken project or securing additional funding would be a vital step forward. Our desire is that no child, especially our young girls, ever feels abandoned or forgotten.
Together, we can make sure they see a future full of promise.

Grace in Uganda
GRACE is a NGO (non-profit) based in Kumi, Uganda. Founded by Sam Akora (the current Director), the ministry was established to address the lack of education for teenage girls in a remote village, which stemmed from cultural views on women, poverty, and teenage pregnancy. Sam's vision was to create positive change by providing education, teaching life skills, supporting girls who dropped out, and demonstrating to the community that girls have worth and value both in society and in God's eyes. Initially named The Gift of a Girl Foundation, the organization has since undergone rebranding to better reflect its mission. GRACE is the gift of salvation God gives us in Christ and not what we deserve. We ask for God's grace upon this ministry.
