Matthew 25:35 and 39b ~ "For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me....Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these, you did it to me."

Our Mission
G.R.A.C.E. in Africa's mission is to provide girls with the funds for their education and school supplies to those living in remote area of Kumi, Uganda. Also, help fund the RuthParent Elementary school including the teaching of God's word.
We want to empower these teenage girls and children so they can have have in a future. It is better to train and build a child up than repair them later. Romans 10:17 reminds us that faith comes from hearing the word of Christ, and to that end we are committed to supporting these children and teenage girls by providing for their tuition, supplies, and sharing with them the for the glory of his name and the growing of their faith.

Our Vision
We want to help nurture these children. We have 70 children attending our elementary school. Our target is to have more than four hundred children. We are looking for ways to earn income and become sustainable, which is a big challenge. We have hope talked with Compassion International and hope they partner with us, as they promised. We are waiting for their communication. We want to partner with them because our vision aligns with that. Our call for sustainability is still on and louder than before as we see many changes coming in the world. We request for means of continuity in serving these children. We need to expand our chicken project or help secure funding so these girls and children do not lose hope and feel we are abandoning them

Grace in Uganda
GRACE is a NGO (non-profit) based in Kumi, Uganda. Founded by Sam Akora (the current Director), the ministry was established to address the lack of education for teenage girls in a remote village, which stemmed from cultural views on women, poverty, and teenage pregnancy. Sam's vision was to create positive change by providing education, teaching life skills, supporting girls who dropped out, and demonstrating to the community that girls have worth and value both in society and in God's eyes. Initially named The Gift of a Girl Foundation, the organization has since undergone rebranding to better reflect its mission. GRACE is the gift of salvation God gives us in Christ and not what we deserve. We ask for God's grace upon this ministry.
